The Grounds

Immediately your attention will be drawn to the small stream of water meandering over a rock bed next to the house. This comes from an artesian well that is 200 feet deep in the granite ledge. Artesian wells are more common in sand and very uncommon in granite. Because of the artesian well, there is a constant stream of water coming from the ground. Not only is the water in the cabin some of the best water you’ll ever taste, the water outside can provide for a cool thirst quenching break from the heat.

The River

The total acreage is approximately 6.5 with 300 feet of river frontage. The cabin is set back from the river so as to not be visible from the river, yet maintains a view of the river. At the river’s edge there is a picnic area. There are also two wood platforms for setting up tents. The land is wooded with a mix of small pine, some large pine old growth and hardwood. There are walking paths throughout wooded lot.
